Please note: These fees are for Cradle of Humankind Equestrian Club membership only. SAEF, SASJ, passport, entry, or other association fees are not included.

Welcome to the Cradle Club

The Cradle of Humankind Equestrian Club, based at Maple Ridge Equestrian Farm, offers riders a welcoming and supportive club environment for the 2026 season.

Anyone can join the Cradle of Humankind Equestrian Club, no matter your level, riding background, or where you are based in South Africa.

Whether you are just starting out, returning to the arena, or already competing, you are welcome here.

In South Africa, riders who want to register with the South African Equestrian Federation and participate through recognised equestrian structures need to belong to an affiliated riding club.

For show jumping riders, the club acts as your administrative home. We help link your profile, support your registration pathway, and provide a friendly community for riders, parents, officials, and supporters.

Join South African Show Jumping

Joining at the training or recreational level is currently free. Follow these steps in the correct order to get registered and ready for the arena.

Join SAEF

  • Cost: Free for training/recreational members.
  • Register: saefonline.co.za
  • Important: You need your SAEF member number before continuing.

Join SASJ

  • Cost: Free for training/recreational categories.
  • Register: sashowjumping.co.za
  • Select Cradle of Humankind Equestrian Club as your preferred club.
  • Register your horse and passport details.

Join Cradle Club

  • Select the correct membership option below.
  • Complete your booking details on our website.
  • The club approves your membership once payment has been received.

Important Checklist

  • Complete the steps in this order: SAEF → SASJ → Club.
  • Choose Cradle of Humankind Equestrian Club as your preferred club on SASJ.
  • Email proof of payment after applying.

How To Apply

Step 1 Register with SAEF and SASJ first.
Step 2 Select the correct club membership option.
Step 3 Pay the correct membership fee.
Step 4 Email proof of payment for approval.

Child Membership

For children aged 12 and under.

Waiver and Indemnity

I acknowledge that participation in equestrian activities involves inherent risks and dangers.

I voluntarily assume all risks connected with participation in riding, handling horses, competitions, training and events organised by Maple Ridge Equestrian Farm and the Cradle of Humankind Equestrian Club.

I indemnify Maple Ridge Equestrian Farm, the Cradle of Humankind Equestrian Club, its representatives, officials and employees against any injury, loss, damage or death arising from participation.

I confirm that all information supplied in this application is true and correct.
