This event is organised in accordance with the FEI Jumping Rules, SASJ Annexures, SAEF General Regulations, SAEF Veterinary Regulations, FEI General Regulations, FEI Veterinary Regulations, SASJ Sections and Annexures, Equine Anti-Doping and Controlled Medication Rules, FEI Anti-Doping Rules for Human Athletes, and current SAEF Vaccination Directives.

The event is authorised by SA Show Jumping, affiliated to SASJ, SAEF and FEI, and run under the applicable 2026 FEI Jumping Rules and 2026 SASJ Rules and Appendices.

All classes will be run under the applicable FEI Rule unless otherwise stated in the SASJ Annexures.

• A horse may only compete in one class per day for National classes.
• A horse may compete in two classes per day for Provincial classes.
• A maximum of three classes at the event applies for CSN classes.
• A maximum of three classes at the event applies for lower grades.
• Horses may only compete in one Championship at the event.

Should an entry be deleted for non-payment, the entry will not be restored based on when it was originally entered, but according to when payment is received. If arenas are full, the entry will be added to the waiting list.

Bought and sold entries will be allowed provided the correct documentation is submitted within the correct time frames and the original rider has signed the required form.

Bought and sold entries will only be allowed if the Organising Committee does not have a waiting list to fulfil first. Please contact the Organising Committee before selling entries.

No buying and selling of entries will be allowed after the stated cut-off date. Forms received after the cut-off date will not be accepted.

• No refunds will be given after the closing date of entries.
• Entries withdrawn before the closing date will be refunded less R50.00 bank charges.
• If a class or classes are cancelled due to inclement weather or unforeseen circumstances, 80% of the entry fee will be refunded.

A substitution means a change of either the horse or the rider.

Provincial classes with composite entry fee

• If a horse needs to be substituted, it may be substituted once per entry only.
• If the composite entry is for three classes, only one horse change may be done.
• If a rider needs to be substituted and the entry consists of a composite entry of three classes, the rider may be changed more than once.
• All substitutions must be submitted on the correct forms, signed by all required parties, at least 30 minutes before the start of the relevant class.

National classes

• A substitution may only take place once, before the horse inspection.
• If there is no horse inspection, a substitution may only take place once by midday on the day before the National classes start.
• After that, no substitutions will be permitted.
• All substitutions must be submitted to the Show Holder on the correct forms, signed by all required parties.

• Stabling is R350 per night.
• Initial bedding will be provided.
• Additional bedding will be available to purchase at R40 per bag.
• Stabling allocation is carried out by the Show Director.
• Competitors may not change stabling accommodation or alter the stabling list without prior consultation with, and approval from, the Show Director.
• Failure to comply could involve disqualification of the horse concerned.
• Stables will be allocated to out-of-province riders first, on a first-come, first-paid basis.

Competitors wishing to be stabled with others should indicate this on their stable booking form. Requests will be accommodated where possible, but cannot be guaranteed, especially where riders booked and paid at different times.

Dress and headgear must comply with Article 256: Dress and Headgear, FEI Jumping Regulations.

All horses must be in possession of their FEI Passports or Group IX Passports at all shows. Inspections, sampling and random passport checks may take place at any event.

It is the athlete/owner’s responsibility to ensure compliance with AHS and Equine Flu control measures as per SAEF Regulations. Vaccination records must be in the horse’s passport and the passport must always accompany the horse or pony.

Microchip numbers must be recorded in the horse’s passport and on the SASJ Online System.

The Organising Committee, in consultation with the SASJ Representative, reserves the right to combine, handicap, divide, restrict or cancel classes where necessary, provided such changes are not in conflict with the rules.

Lower grade or provincial entries may be restricted, or classes cancelled, depending on the number of entries. Any combined classes will be run on a handicap basis.

Changes made at or during the show will be at the discretion of the Show Holding Body in consultation with the Ground Jury. This also applies to adverse weather conditions.

Entry fees will not be refunded where a competition is changed to a different time, day or arena.

Riders must ensure that their contact details are correct on the SASJ Database and must check the SASJ website for schedule and programme updates.

Athletes must be registered with a Club, SAEF and SASJ as per the SASJ Annexures on the SASJ Database.

Horses and ponies must be registered with SASJ as per the SASJ Annexures on the SASJ Database.

All stallions should have a yellow disc on both sides of the bridle or a yellow ribbon in the tail.

Athletes must ensure that any sponsored saddlecloths or athlete wear used during the event are linked to sponsors registered with SASJ for the current year.

Logo sizes must comply with Articles 256.3 and 257.3 of the FEI Jumping Rules. The Chief Steward will check that advertising on athletes and horses complies with these articles.

Riders are requested to provide sleeping accommodation for their grooms, as no sleeping facilities are available for this purpose.

• Lighting fires or smoking in the stable areas is strictly forbidden.
• Ablutions are available in the stable area for grooms.
• Electricity outlets are available at the stable area.
• Water is precious. Please avoid water wastage and help conserve water where possible.

All horseboxes and floats must be parked in the allocated areas provided.

The FEI, SASJ, SAEF, Organising Committee / Show Holding Body, venue, officials and sponsors shall not be held responsible for any damage, loss, theft or injury sustained by owners, riders, competitors, horses, members of the public, any other person, or their property. E&OE.
